Sharing Blessings During the Holy Month

In the spirit of Ramadan, Jumeirah Estates organized a community iftar distribution program in partnership with local mosques across Tagkawayan, providing meals to over 500 fasting Muslims.

Ramadan is a time of reflection, generosity, and community bonding. As the Philippines' pioneer in Shariah-compliant real estate, Jumeirah Estates recognizes its responsibility to give back to the communities where it operates — especially during the holiest month on the Islamic calendar.

The Program

Working hand-in-hand with three masjids in Tagkawayan and neighboring barangays, Jumeirah Estates coordinated the preparation and distribution of complete iftar meals. Each meal package included rice, ulam (viand), dates, water, and juice — carefully prepared according to halal standards by local Muslim-owned catering businesses.

Volunteers from the Jumeirah Estates team and local Islamic organizations began preparations early each day, ensuring that meals were ready well before Maghrib prayer. Distribution points were set up near mosques and in community gathering areas to ensure maximum reach.

Impact and Community Response

Over the course of the program, more than 500 fasting individuals and families received iftar meals. Many recipients were daily wage earners, elderly community members, and students — people for whom the additional support during Ramadan made a tangible difference.

Local imam Ustadz Ahmad, who helped coordinate with three mosques, shared: "This program brought great joy to our community. It's not just about the food — it's about knowing that a company cares enough to support our spiritual journey during Ramadan."

The program also served as an opportunity to introduce the Jumeirah Ville project to community members, many of whom were hearing about Shariah-compliant housing options for the first time.
