Jumeirah Ville Groundbreaking Ceremony

A Historic Milestone for Islamic Real Estate in the Philippines

On January 15, 2024, Jumeirah Estates made history as it officially broke ground on Jumeirah Ville — the Philippines' first-ever Shariah-compliant subdivision in Tagkawayan, Quezon Province.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by over 200 distinguished guests, including local government officials, Islamic scholars, partner organizations, and prospective homeowners — all witnesses to the beginning of a new era in ethical housing in the Philippines.

The Ceremony

The event opened with a heartfelt recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a du'a (supplication) led by respected Islamic scholars praying for the success, safety, and blessed completion of the project. Community elders from Tagkawayan and nearby barangays offered words of support and gratitude for the development that promises to uplift the area.

Key stakeholders then participated in the traditional capsule laying and first shovel ceremonies, symbolizing the solid foundation upon which Jumeirah Ville will rise. The capsule contained a written vision statement, a copy of the Fatwa certifying the project's Shariah compliance, and tokens of hope from the first batch of lot reservees.

Remarks from Leadership

In his keynote address, our CEO emphasized that Jumeirah Ville is "more than just a housing project — it is a movement to empower Filipino Muslims with dignified, ethical, and affordable homes." He outlined the company's commitment to zero-interest (riba-free) financing through the Murabahah model and pledged to maintain full transparency in all transactions.

The local government representative praised the project as a catalyst for economic growth in Quezon Province, noting that the development will generate jobs, improve infrastructure, and bring new services to the community.

With the groundbreaking complete, Phase 1 site development commenced immediately — including road grading, drainage systems, and perimeter fencing. Lot owners can look forward to regular progress updates and scheduled site tours as the development takes shape.
