Spiritual Beginnings for Jumeirah Ville

Before a single stone was laid, Islamic scholars and community elders gathered at the Jumeirah Ville site in Tagkawayan to invoke blessings for the project — marking the spiritual foundation of the Philippines' first Shariah-compliant subdivision.

The Site Blessing and Dedication Ceremony on December 8, 2023 was a deeply meaningful event that underscored the core values of Jumeirah Estates: faith, community, and ethical development. Held under the open sky of the undeveloped Tagkawayan property, the ceremony brought together local religious leaders, barangay officials, and members of the Muslim community.

The Blessing

The ceremony was led by respected Islamic scholars who recited selected passages from the Quran, particularly those related to prosperity, safety, and community well-being. A special du'a was offered for the land itself — that it may be a source of barakah (blessings) for every family that will call it home.

Community elders from Tagkawayan participated actively, offering prayers and words of welcome. Many expressed their gratitude that a major real estate development would finally bring modern infrastructure and opportunities to the area while respecting Islamic principles.

The Dedication

During the dedication portion, the project site was formally committed to the vision of halal living. Markers were placed at the future locations of the community masjid, the main road, and the first residential blocks. Each marker was inscribed with verses of peace and prosperity.

The event concluded with a communal meal, where attendees shared traditional dishes and discussed their hopes for the upcoming development. Several prospective lot owners were in attendance and expressed their excitement about being part of a pioneering Shariah-compliant community.
